🎬 JoL Ghuddi (Water kite) is a poetic riverine film that flows with the currents of the River. Here, the river is not merely a backdrop but a living character—its restless tides, seasonal floods, and barren sandbanks reflecting the passions, sorrows, and harsh realities of human life. At the heart of the story lies the interplay of three characters bound to the river: Bedaura, a village girl whose spirit is deeply tied to the waters; the Boatman, who loves his colorful vessel as his own child and calls it “JoL Ghuddi” (Water Kite); and a foreign Poet, whose songs and verses stir a nameless desire in Bedaura’s heart. Love, longing, and loss are interwoven with the river’s eternal presence—at once giving life, and at the same time taking away dreams.
